Revert "Add utility methods for reading and writing text (mostly sysfs) files."cm-14.0

An improved version has been added to the CMSDK since CM 13.0.
All users of this should be converted to using the CMSDK version.

This reverts commit 843599985b06fc7b224109d58e73d91d5920eeb1.
