* ASoC: Revert missing reset_err in wm97*.cTakashi Iwai2009-11-271-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The commit fe3e78e073d25308756f38019956061153267769 ASoC: Factor out snd_soc_init_card() removed the error paths that are still valid for wm97* codecs, causing the compile errors like sound/soc/codecs/wm9705.c:399: error: label 'reset_err' used but not defined sound/soc/codecs/wm9712.c:687: error: label 'reset_err' used but not defined sound/soc/codecs/wm9713.c:1237: error: label 'reset_err' used but not defined Revert the removed error path codes. * ASoC: Remove redundant snd_soc_dapm_new_widgets() callsMark Brown2009-11-121-1/+0
| | | | | | | The DAPM widgets are now insntantiated by the core when creating the card so there is no need for the individual CODEC drivers to do so. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
* ASoC: Factor out snd_soc_init_card()Mark Brown2009-11-031-8/+0
| | | | | | | | | snd_soc_init_card() is always called as the last part of the CODEC probe function so we can factor it out into the core card setup rather than have each CODEC replicate the code to do the initialiastation. This will be required to support multiple CODECs per card. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
* ASoC: free socdev if init_card() fails in wm9705_soc_probe()Roel Kluin2009-08-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | Free socdev if snd_soc_init_card() fails. Signed-off-by: Roel Kluin <roel.kluin@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
* ASoC: Use a shared define for AC97 CODEC data formatsMark Brown2009-05-021-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | The AC97 wire format is completely fixed so CODECs don't have any choice about the formats they accept but controllers accept a variety of data formats and render them down onto the bus. Have a shared define so all the CODEC drivers will interoperate with any of our controller drivers. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
* ASoC: Fix warning in wm9705Russell King - ARM Linux2009-04-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | I notice that the fixes were merged, minus one: sound/soc/codecs/wm9705.c: At top level: sound/soc/codecs/wm9705.c:445: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer type so you might find this trivial patch useful. * ASoC: Implement suspend and resume operations for WM9705Mark Brown2009-04-021-0/+37
| | | | | | | Without this the WM9705 driver fails badly when resuming. Tested-by: Russell King <linux@arm.linux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
* ASoC: make ops a pointer in 'struct snd_soc_dai'Eric Miao2009-03-041-3/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Considering the fact that most cpu_dai or codec_dai are using a same 'snd_soc_dai_ops' for several similar interfaces, 'ops' would be better made a pointer instead, to make sharing easier and code a bit cleaner. The patch below is rather preliminary since the asoc tree is being actively developed, and this touches almost every piece of code, (and possibly many others in development need to be changed as well). Building of all codecs are OK, yet to every SoC, I didn't test that. * ASoC: Push the codec runtime storage into the card structureMark Brown2009-01-271-7/+8
| | | | | | | This is a further stage on the road to refactoring away the ASoC platform device. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
* ASoC: Include header file in cs4270 and wm9705Mark Brown2009-01-231-0/+2
| | | | | | | Ensures that the DAI and socdev exported by the codec match up with their exported prototype. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
* ASoC: Fix WM9705 capture switch nameIan Molton2009-01-201-2/+2
